Bar Path

The line the barbell travels during a lift.

On most lifts, the most efficient is close to a straight vertical line over the middle of your foot. A bar that drifts forward or loops wastes energy and puts stress where you don’t want it.

Filming from the side is the easiest way to see your bar path.
