The Living Journal
The Back Section of this book is a living journal. It grows with you. It remembers what you did. It shows you patterns you can’t see in the moment.
What You Track
Training Log Every session. Weight, sets, reps, , notes. Percentage-based, RPE/-based, or both.
& Milestone Page All-time bests. First squat, first pull-up, first 225-lb deadlift. Milestones matter.
Weekly & Monthly Reflections Short prompts to review what worked, what didn’t, what to adjust. Frequency adapts to your experience level.
WHY Page Why you train. Who you train for. What strength means to you. Read it when you forget.
Goal-Setting Worksheet Specific, measurable, time-bound. Not “get stronger.” “Squat 225x5 by December 1st.”
Recovery Log Sleep, nutrition, stress, SMR, mobility, readiness. The inputs matter as much as the training.
How Often to Reflect
Newer athletes (0–6 months): Weekly reflection. You’re learning what works.
Intermediate (6–24 months): Bi-weekly. You have patterns. You just need to check them.
Advanced (24+ months): Monthly, or on-demand. You know your body. You use the journal as a second opinion.
The system adjusts automatically based on your experience level.
Why This Matters
The athlete who pays attention wins. Not the one who grinds the hardest. The one who tracks, reflects, adjusts, and shows up again.
Your journal is proof of your work. It’s also the map for your next move.
Write in it.
