The Two Farmers

Two farmers planted the same seeds on the same day.

The first farmer watered his plants every day. A little more water each week. He pulled weeds. He was patient. By harvest, his field was full.

The second farmer wanted results faster. He dumped a week’s worth of water on his plants in one day. He pulled the plants up by the roots to check if they were growing. By harvest, his field was dead.

Progressive overload is the first farmer. Patience, consistency, small increases. The second farmer is what happens when you chase numbers instead of growth.
